From 2014SDS launched in September 2014 with just 14 ballet pupils! We are now lucky enough to have be able to offer a wide range of classes…

We study the prestigious Cecchetti ballet method and have a 100% pass rate with outstanding examination results. Over the years we have grown to incorporate and offer many dance classes, including our very popular Funky feet classes, ISTD modern and tap, musical theatre and drama and singing classes too.

We aim to offer children and adults fun, inspiring classes and the opportunities to enjoy weekly classes and/or progress and excel and take things a little more seriously with personalised dance training programmes. Our pupils are given the opportunities to take examinations, participate in assessments, shows, performances, events and demonstrations and one to one focussed training when needed for auditions and examinations.

We pride ourselves on nurturing each individual and allowing each pupil to enjoy their sessions whilst building self confidence, strength, technique, self belief, discipline, commitment and determination to succeed. It is also a wonderful basis for friendship and team work and we value the importance of supporting each other.

As well as our Surrey Dance School classes, we also run a specialist nursery school dance programme, running 30 minute weekly classes within nursery schools. I have been running these classes  since 2013 at Panda Nursery and am really excited to continue these popular dance classes at Panda’s.

A highlight of each year has been performing at the Limpsfield Village Fete. It is a great opportunity for our young dancers to experience performing in front of an audience. We look forward to the event every year. We have also entered dancers for their Cecchetti Ballet examinations. I am extremely proud to have a 100% pass rate with outstanding results of only Distinctions and Merits!

In 2016 I launched our own school awards, Surrey Dance School Awards and I also launched our SDS workshops too. 2017 has seen us grow considerably and we put on our very first show, Wish Upon A Star! It was the highlight of the year and I am very proud of all the dancers who performed and took part.

In 2019, we added Drama and Singing classes to our timetable and those classes run every Saturday morning. We have had top results for students who have entered LAMDA examinations and absolutely love watching our students grow in confidence and enjoy their performances.
We offer specialist one to one and small group tuition ahead of LAMDA examinations to ensure our pupils feel confident entering into examinations.

It has been an amazing journey for our thriving dance school. Our aim is to inspire, encourage and nurture dancers through our fun classes and I am very excited for our next school year and what the future holds! We will be adding more classes and more events and it is so lovely to have such a loyal, hard working and enthusiastic school of dancers.
